PortaRF is an innovative open-source single-board Software Defined Radio (SDR) developed by OpenSourceSDRLab. It integrates the functionality of the HackRF One and PortaPack H4M into a compact, unified PCB design.

This standalone portable device supports both transmission and reception of radio signals across a wide frequency range of 1 MHz to 6 GHz, eliminating the need for stacking separate boards.

It runs Mayhem firmware and offers improved signal quality, a larger high-quality display, expanded storage, longer battery life, and optional AI voice control via an ESP32-based extension board.

Key improvements over traditional HackRF + PortaPack setups include a more compact form factor, better integration, enhanced ergonomics (gamepad-style controls, rotary knob), a premium IPS touchscreen, dual speakers, and a custom snap-fit enclosure.

It is ideal for RF exploration, signal analysis, pentesting, research, and hobbyist applications.
